Why Upgrading Matters

Technology in printing evolves rapidly, and staying current is more than a convenience—it’s a competitive advantage. Upgrading to newer units not only reduces downtime through improved reliability, but also lowers operating costs with energy‑efficient designs and smarter consumable management.

In general, newer devices print faster, allowing you to consolidate multiple machines into fewer, more capable systems. Through this consolidation, businesses can regain valuable office space, reduce overall power consumption, and simplify both printing and network management.

By refreshing your equipment regularly, you protect your business from costly interruptions and ensure that your business benefits from the most cost‑effective, future‑ready solutions available.

The CTS Story - Printers

In 1977, almost 50 years ago, Cavalier Technical Services /CTS began as Cavalier Office Products, supplying typewriters, calculators, and copiers that kept offices running smoothly.

Then the 1980s arrived, ushering in the computer age—and with it, the printer age.  CTS was there at the start, selling and servicing the first dot matrix printers from Epson, IBM and Okidata, helping businesses take their first steps into digital printing.

As technology advanced, CTS expanded into Daisywheel printers from Silver Reed and IBM, and then embraced the breakthrough of Canon and HP laser printers, which transformed professional printing from an outsource service into something any office could achieve in‑house, all at a significant savings.  CTS guided customers through each leap forward—mono to color printing/copying , the rise of multifunction devices that combined copier, scanner, fax, and printer into one, and the consolidation that made office workflows more efficient than ever.

Today, CTS continues that tradition of innovation and reliability. We don’t just sell printers—we deliver decades of expertise, supply management, and precision solutions that save space, power, and expense.

When you choose CTS, you’re choosing a partner who has been there for every chapter of the printing story, from an Okidata dot matrix printer to HP, Xerox Laser printers, and CTS will be there for the next evolution.

The Value of Digitizing Documents
Digitizing your documents isn’t just a modernization step—it’s a direct path to cutting wasted costs and unlocking new business value. Filing cabinets eat up expensive office space, costing thousands of dollars per year in rent. Employees lose hours hunting for misfiled records, and every lost document can cost hundreds to reproduce. By converting paper into secure, searchable digital files, you eliminate these hidden drains on your budget. Better yet, digitization means no more lost records—your data is backed up, encrypted, and instantly retrievable. Whether you’re in the office or halfway across the world, every document you need is just a click away.

The Role of High-Speed Scanners
The key to making this transformation seamless is the high-speed scanner. These devices are built to handle thousands of pages per day, turning stacks of paper into digital assets in minutes. With advanced features like duplex scanning, OCR text recognition, and automatic error correction, they don’t just scan—they create ready-to-use, searchable files that integrate directly into your workflows. Imagine reclaiming entire rooms of filing cabinets, reducing retrieval time from hours to seconds, and ensuring every document is accessible from anywhere on the planet. That’s not just efficiency—it’s a competitive advantage.
