Computers & Notebooks

Your legacy computers struggle to keep pace with modern software, lack needed security , are slow, and limit compatibility with many accessories, which is why it is essential to upgrade to a computer that is designed for Windows 11 (and soon to come Windows 12).

Current versions of Windows provide seamless upgrades in performance, long‑term support, and access to the latest features.

The smartest investment are computers with Artificial Intelligence (AI) hardware which includes an AI‑optimized processor that does not just run faster but actively learn, adapt, and accelerate your workflows, from real‑time data analysis to smarter multitasking, delivering enterprise‑grade performance.

AI computers also provide a GPU - allowing faster screen refreshes on multiple LCD screens and providing you and your staff increased productivity with multiple screens.

By investing now, you avoid future incompatibility issues while empowering your staff to work more efficiently, and positioning your business to thrive with technology that evolves alongside your needs.

Top brands, competitive pricing, and business-ready support—all in one place.

When you purchase through CTS, you get more than hardware. You get a partner who understands business workflows, risk management, and enterprise-grade usability—so your investment pays off from day one.

Understanding AI Hardware

All the major CPU manufacturers have started production of their AI CPU.   An AI CPU is a combination of 3 UNITS

Central Processing Unit (CPU): This is the traditional "Brain" of the computer.  This unit processes all commands and provides all the calculations.

Graphic Processing Unit (GPU): This is a 2nd Processor that allows the CPU to offload all graphic calculations.  Essential in Gaming, a GPU is also an added benefit for Graphic Designers, CAD and Financial  Modeling.  A GPU is essential for any computer application in which the screen changes often.

Neural Processing Unit (NPU): This makes the computer an AI PC. A NPU processes all AI encoded tasks.  The CPU reads the Code of all data, and if it detects AI coding it will output it to the NPU for faster processing of AI requests and results.  NPU is the next stage of computing.

The 3 Processing Units are fused into a new Single AI CPU.   For AI Computing to work well, an AI PC needs more Ram.  These new generations of computers will ship with 24GB or 32GB of ram.  If budget allows, double the ram to 48GB or 64GB.

Intel's Logo for Ultra CPUs

Intel has introduced their newest desktop/notebook series CPU.  The Ultra comes in 3 speeds U5 | U7 | U9.    Much like the Core I series the U5 is for low use.  The  U7 is  for standard computing, which most users should be purchasing.  The U9 is for Advanced Computing,  Designers, Engineers, Financial Modeling and of course anybody doing AI Development would greatly benefit with a U9 computer.

Intel has also announced their AI based Server CPU's .  The AI  Compatible  Intel Xeon Gen 6.   These are workhorse CPUs designed to improve the performance of your current application by 3 times the speed of a Xeon Gen 2.  Intel has also announced the Intel Xeon W series.  A Workstation PC with the speed of a Server all with the New Intel NPU.  These are used by scientists, financial modelers  or any industry that need to process large amounts of data with the ability to include AI tools.

AMD's Logo for Ryzen AI 300 Series CPUs

AMD is not new to the PC world.  AMD market share is a third of Intel but that should not stop you from purchasing an AMD computer.   Some of the advantages with AMD is a lower cost computer along with some models that have superior testing results as compared to the Intel Ultra series.

AMD has several models in their Ryzen AI offering.

This includes 2 notebooks focused on CPU's with the Ryzen 7000 & 8000. The AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series has a focus on desktops.  The Ryzen CPU Family,  are similarly named to Intel, they are the Ryzen Pro 5 | 7 | 9.   The functions would be the same as the Intel U series.

Qualcomm's logo for SnapDragon CPU's

Qualcomm the maker of Snapdragon have made their first entry in to the PC market with X Elite AI CPU.

Unlike Intel and AMD, which uses the traditional and stable X86,  The Snapdragon uses a special build of Windows for ARM CPUs.  ARM uses RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer ) while X86 use CISC - (Complex Instruction Set Computer).

The advantages of the X Elite is lower power and a lower cost.  The concern for larger organizations, when a notebook fails, you cannot just rotate the drive into any computer. It must be another Snapdragon computer.

Apple's Logo for M4 AI based CPUs

Apple M4 uses an ARM processor which was exclusively designed for MacOS. This processor includes a central processing unit  (CPU), a graphics processing unit (GPU), a neural processing unit (NPU), and a digital signal processor (DSP).

Apple is marketing different versions of the M4 based upon core count.   M4 is 8 to 10 cores | M4 Pro includes 16 to 20 Cores | M4 Max is 32 to 40 Cores.

Using VMware Fusion or Parallels is capable of supporting a virtual Windows 11 for ARM.
